Mui Ne, Vietnam
An activity town where wind, desert and surf meet

Ride the wind along a warm coast, race over red and white sand dunes, and fill your day with surfing and yoga. Mui Ne is Vietnam's hidden activity base, where you can plan winter training and travel in one go.

WHERE IS MUI NE?

Mui Ne, where the wind gathers on Vietnam's south-central coast

Mui Ne sits on the seaside that runs on from Phan Thiet, on Vietnam's south-central coast. On a map of Vietnam, you'll find it on the coast south of Nha Trang and northeast of Ho Chi Minh City.

It's in the southern coastal region and easy to link with a trip to Ho Chi Minh City, but the feel of the place is completely different. The wide-open sea, low coastal scenery, and red and white sand dunes sit close together, so you can experience both sea and desert in one trip.

WHY LEARN WINGFOIL HERE?

Why learn wing foiling in Mui Ne?

When you're starting out in wing foiling, what matters most isn't one strong wind but a setting where you can repeat what you learned the next day. In Korea, the wind varies a lot by season and region, so even when you manage to make time, practice is often cut short.

Mui Ne is known for warm winter weather and relatively steady coastal wind. Staying several days makes it easy to work through raising the wing, starting and stopping, turning, and the feel of foiling in order, turning a short taster into real time to improve.

01

Wind you can come back to

With plenty of chances to pick up today where yesterday's feel left off, it's a good place to build a flow that makes beginner moves second nature.

02

Warm winter training

A winter riding setting that eases the burden of cold and thick cold-weather gear, so you can stay focused on the water for longer.

03

A base close to the sea

With accommodation, restaurants and wind sports operators around the beach, it's easy to plan your day around your sessions.

Not a trip spent waiting for one good windy day, but a trip that builds your skills over many days of wind. That's the biggest advantage of wing foiling in Mui Ne.

BEYOND THE WIND

A town too good to just ride the wind and leave

Mui Ne's appeal carries on after your wing foil session ends. Desert-like sand dunes, surfing and beaches, yoga and local food all fit into one itinerary, so it works well even when your travel companions have different tastes.

SAND DUNES

Red desert and white desert

Catch the sunrise and sunset at the White Sand Dunes and Red Sand Dunes, and add land activities like jeeps, ATVs and sandboarding.

SURF

Surfing that meets the waves

When the wind takes a break, check the beach's waves and conditions and try surfing to broaden your feel for board sports.

YOGA & RECOVERY

Recovering with yoga, morning and evening

Wake up your body before riding and unwind after your session, turning the balance of activity and rest into the rhythm of your trip.

LOCAL LIFE

A long stay, planned sensibly

With plenty of choices, from guesthouses to resorts and from local restaurants to seafood, it's easy to plan a winter trip that fits your budget and the way you like to stay.

STAY FOR THE RHYTHM

Where sessions become a trip, and the trip builds your skills

In the morning you check conditions, and once the wind settles in you head out on the water. After riding, you put away your gear, eat at a local restaurant, and talk through the next day's moves. Between sessions, you can take in the sand dunes and fishing village scenery or recover with yoga.

That's why Mui Ne is more than a cheap getaway: it becomes an activity town where people who love the wind stay through the winter to learn, rest and connect. It gives wing foil beginners time to repeat, experienced riders a season to move on to the next skill, and travel companions a trip of their own.
