Lim Sujeong unboxes the ALL STAR iSUP — from bag to race board

Open the bag, unfold the board and pump it up. Join Lim Sujeong to explore the ALL STAR iSUP's equipment and setup, compare the 2026 Deluxe and Deluxe Lite constructions, and consider the right size.

Meeting a new board starts at the bag, before you reach the water. What is inside? How does it unfold? How much preparation does it need? Starboard Korea athlete and coach Lim Sujeong unboxes the ALL STAR iSUP and walks through the steps a first-time owner will want to see.

This Starboard TV episode features an inflatable race SUP that folds for transport. Follow the equipment check, inflation, nose details and carrying setup. It is an unboxing story to help prepare for a first paddle, rather than a review of speed or handling on the water.

Open the bag with Lim Sujeong

Lim starts with the bag and smaller accessories, takes out the pump and fin, unfolds the board, then checks its shape after inflation. The video shows the scale of the equipment and the setup steps that product photographs alone cannot convey.

The bag is part of the equipment

Getting your board to the water is part of the experience. In the video, Lim rolls and carries the bag and checks the spaces for the pump and accessories. Watching a long board unfold from its packed form gives a clear sense of an iSUP's portability.

The 2026 ALL STAR iSUP includes a lightweight leash, a double-action Tiki hand pump and a wheeled re-cover bag. The standard fin is the Race 23 Net Positive. The electric pump used during inflation in the video is separate equipment, not the hand pump included in the package.

There is a detail to remember when packing away: the board folds rather than rolls to preserve the shape of its EVA sidewalls. That is why the bag is wide and short. Bag designs may vary by production period.

A Deluxe detail: adjust tension without deflating

Airline Technology on the Deluxe construction uses an aramid cable running from the nose, along the bottom and to the fin box. Inflating the board tensions the cable to reduce flex.

The Quick Tension System adjusts that tension without deflating the board. It is a useful detail to notice during setup. Watch the nose inspection in the video to understand where the mechanism sits and what it does.

Airline and the Quick Tension System are features of Deluxe. Deluxe Lite does not have the same specification.

One ALL STAR name, two different constructions

Alongside Airline, Deluxe has twin carbon stringers on the deck and a central carbon stringer on the bottom. It is a construction to explore if stiffness is a priority for racing and training.

Deluxe Lite is a lightweight construction using Woven Dropstitch, offered in a 14′ × 26″ option in the 2026 range. Airline is not included. Even at the same 26-inch width, board weight and recommended rider weight differ by construction. Check the construction as well as the model name.

Choosing a 2026 size: compare width and construction

Every 2026 ALL STAR iSUP is 14′ / 426.7cm long and 6″ / 15cm thick. The specifications below cover the official 2026 range. They are a size comparison for shoppers, not a claim about the exact width of the board in the video.

14′ × 28″ · Deluxe
Width 71.1cm · Volume 367L · Board weight 11.2kg · Recommended rider 60–115kg · With Airline
14′ × 26″ · Deluxe
Width 66cm · Volume 323L · Board weight 10.5kg · Recommended rider 60–105kg · With Airline
14′ × 26″ · Deluxe Lite
Width 66cm · Volume 323L · Board weight 9.60kg · Recommended rider 50–85kg · Without Airline
14′ × 24.5″ · Deluxe
Width 62.2cm · Volume 310L · Board weight 9.9kg · Recommended rider 50–90kg · With Airline

Choose for your paddling, not simply the narrowest width

At 28 inches, the widest board in this range is a starting point when stability matters most. The 26-inch options let you weigh stability against racing use, while the 24.5-inch model is for experienced riders comfortable on narrow boards. Being within a recommended weight range does not, by itself, make a narrow board right for you.

Consider your usual water conditions, balance skills and the mix of training and racing you plan to do. Portability and weight may matter most, or you may prefer the stiffness of an Airline-equipped board. The listed board weights have a manufacturer tolerance of ±5%.

Unboxing is the first introduction. Once you understand the equipment and setup, choose an option that fits your weight, experience and riding conditions.
